The Customer Test · free

When a customer asks Google or ChatGPT for a business like yours, are you on the list?

Three questions your customers would ask, put to an ordinary Google search and to ChatGPT, and a quick look at your website and your Google profile. On one page you see where your customers are sent, who is named instead, and the main problems behind it. Free, with no obligation, shown to you in person or on a call.

What we check

Three questions, two places, one quick look.

The three questions

  • Your main service in your own area, such as “Can you recommend a physiotherapist in Fourways?”
  • The service you most want to sell, such as “Who does sports injury rehabilitation near Lonehill?” or, for a venue, “Where can we hold a year-end function for 60 people?”
  • Your main service across the wider area.
  • None of them names you. Each is asked once in an ordinary Google search, signed out, and once in ChatGPT. The first answer counts; nothing is asked again to get a better one.

The quick look

  • Your Google profile against your website: name, phone number, website link, hours and the category Google lists you under.
  • Any wrong fact Google or ChatGPT gave about you.
  • Whether your website explains your main services in a way customers and the assistants pick up.
  • Whether your website can be read properly, and how quickly it appears on a phone.
  • Where your own Google reviews stand.

What you get

One page, in plain words.

Where your customers are sent

For each question, Google and ChatGPT: were you named, and who was named instead.

What we found

Up to four main problems, one sentence each, a wrong fact first.

What is already working

Always at least one thing. If your details are sound, we say so.

What it is not

  • It is not the full diagnosis. That is the AI Fact Check, the first step of the AI Correction: four AI assistants, your six key facts everywhere they appear, every page of your website, and a plan that says exactly what you, your developer and we each do.
  • It never tells you how to fix things, and never shows other businesses’ details. It shows where customers are sent, on the day it was run.
  • If the work is worth doing, Peter explains the Correction and its price once. The decision is yours.

Who is named instead

The referrals that went elsewhere.

You see the businesses Google and ChatGPT named when a customer asked, beside your own result.

  • The names come from the answers themselves. Nothing is asked again to get a different list.
  • You see names only, never their details, and never a guess at why they were named.
  • AI answers change from day to day, so the page says it is one answer on one day.

Illustrative. Named when a customer asked, on that date. AI answers change from day to day.

Good to know

Questions owners often ask.

Is this SEO?
Not in the usual sense. SEO aims to move your website up Google’s list of links. BlueWing makes sure AI assistants, such as ChatGPT and Google’s AI answers, have your facts right and name you when a customer asks for a recommendation, or a traveller asks where to stay. The two work well together: the facts we correct also help your Google presence. If you already have someone doing SEO, there’s no need to stop. We work alongside them.
Which AI matters most? Is it Google?
For a local business in South Africa, Google comes first. Most people still search on Google, and Google’s own AI answer now appears at the top of many of those searches. ChatGPT is the most used of the separate assistants. We check four assistants (ChatGPT, Google’s Gemini, Perplexity and Claude) and an ordinary Google search, so you see both.
Is AI worth paying for yet?
A fair question. Today most customers still find businesses through ordinary Google search, and recent studies found AI assistants send far fewer visits to websites than Google does. But Google now puts its own AI answer at the top of many searches, and that answer is built from the same things we correct: your Google profile, your website and your listings. So this is not a bet on AI replacing Google. It makes sure that however a customer asks, in an ordinary Google search, in Google’s AI answer or in ChatGPT, they are given the right facts about you. We don’t promise more visits from AI, and our report shows plainly what has changed.
I ran a free AI checker and got a score. What does it mean?
It is worth looking, but that score measures the tool’s own checklist, and some tools never ask an AI assistant at all. The Customer Test, and later the AI Fact Check, record what Google and the assistants actually say about you when a customer asks.
Why do the answers change?
AI assistants write a fresh answer every time. Research published in January 2026 asked the same question a hundred times and got the identical list of businesses back fewer than once in the hundred. That is why the Customer Test describes only what was said on the day, and why the monthly work asks the same questions every month.
Do you rerun a question if the result looks bad?
No. The first complete answer is the one recorded, good or bad. If an assistant can’t be reached, we record it as unavailable and don’t count it against you.
Is there a catch?
There is no catch. The Customer Test is free and you are under no obligation. If it shows the work is worth doing, Peter explains the Correction and its price once, and the decision is yours.
What is the AI Fact Check, then?
The full check, and the first thing you receive when you start the AI Correction: what ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Claude say about you, your six key facts on each, your Google profile, listings and reviews, and every page of your website. It ends in your Correction Plan, which lists what you, your developer and BlueWing each do, with a test for every item.
