Working With Your Website Developer
BlueWing specifies the required outcome and the check. Your independent developer implements technical work. BlueWing then verifies it.
The specification standard
Finding → Change → Check.
Every developer item must say what is wrong, exactly what outcome is required and how BlueWing will determine whether it passed.
If a developer believes there is a better technical route, that alternative should be disclosed rather than silently substituted.
Typical developer work
- Page construction and structural changes.
- Themes and plugins.
- Technical speed/performance work.
- Server, hosting and FTP work.
- Technical crawler controls.
- Anything requiring developer judgement.
Independence
The developer works for you, not for BlueWing.
Your existing developer
BlueWing’s default is to work with the developer you already use where that relationship can support checkable implementation.
If remediation is needed
If a required technical change cannot be implemented through the existing route, the item can be parked as technical remediation. You appoint and pay the developer directly.
No hidden commercial interest
BlueWing takes no referral fee, commission, margin or subcontracting income from the developer.
What BlueWing can place itself
Small, controlled placement is not website development.
With written owner permission and suitable admin access, BlueWing may place material it wrote itself: approved wording, page descriptions, redirects and small root text files such as llms.txt, using the existing editor or builder.
BlueWing does not perform design, themes, plugins, speed work, page building, server/FTP/hosting work or anything requiring developer judgement.
Verification
“The developer says it is done” is not the check.
BlueWing reruns the named test and records the result. PASS returns the item to the active workflow. FAIL returns it to remediation or rework.
