The AI Snapshot · free

When a customer asks AI who to use, who gets the referral?

A short, honest check of what AI assistants tell your customers about you, shown to you in person. It is free, it carries no obligation, and it is where everything starts.

What we check

Two questions, four assistants.

Peter asks ChatGPT, Google’s Gemini, Perplexity and Claude two questions, each in a fresh session: eight answers in all.

The first is one your customers would ask, such as “Who is a good physiotherapist in Fourways?”. It never names you. The second asks what the assistant knows about your business by name.

We then check the same facts on your website, your Google Business Profile and your Facebook and other pages, and whether your website can be read properly, including on a phone.

Your six key facts

  • Your business name and where you are
  • The areas you serve
  • Your phone number
  • Your opening hours
  • Your main services
  • Your website address

Each one is marked correct, wrong or missing in each assistant’s answer: 24 marks in all.

What you get

Three findings, in plain words.

X of 4How many of the four assistants named you when a customer asked.
X of 24How many of your six facts the four assistants got right.
Who insteadThe two businesses the assistants named most often, beside your own result.

Peter goes through it with you in person or on a video call and explains what is causing the problem, then names the three things that would change it most. If your details are already sound, he tells you so.

Who the assistants named instead

The referrals that went elsewhere.

From the same four answers, you see which two businesses the assistants named most often when a customer asked, and how often you were named.

  • The assistants choose the names, not Peter. Only businesses doing the same work in the same area are counted; directories, booking sites and national chains are left out.
  • No extra questions are asked and nothing is rerun to get a different list.
  • It shows that others were named, never why. The why, and what to change, is the work of the Correction.
  • If you were named as often as they were, we say so, and AI Visibility is how that position is kept.

Why do the answers change?
AI assistants write a fresh answer every time. Research published in January 2026 asked the same question a hundred times and got the identical list of businesses back fewer than once in the hundred. That is why the same questions are asked across four assistants, and why a Snapshot is a picture, not a forecast.
Do you rerun a question if the result looks bad?
Never. The first clean answer is the one recorded, whether it is good or bad. An assistant that could not be reached is recorded as unavailable, not as a failure.
Is there a catch?
No. The Snapshot is free and carries no obligation. If it shows the work is worth doing, Peter will explain the Correction and its price once, and leave the decision with you.
What if I don’t qualify for a Snapshot yet?
Peter may send a free Site Reading instead: a plain description of what is wrong on your website and public profiles. It tests no assistant, so it is quicker for everyone.
